We encourage everyone to choose an environmental organization and contribute generously.

Also, take direct action. Both in your personal life by reducing your environmental impact and by addressing environmental issues through contacting state and federal representatives.

Educate yourself so that you can educate others about sustaining the environment that makes it possible for us and our children to live harmoniously on this planet.

These are our favorite environmental groups
that we like to promote and support.

We hope that you will choose to do the same.

(as our contribution we would like to offer our music free of charge or
royalty payment to any humanitarian or environmental non-profit
organization with our written permission. Contact us for more information.)

NRDC - The National Resource Defense Council is one of the nation’s most effective environmental action groups. They work diligently to protect all life on earth and the environmental systems which sustain us. They do this primarily through law, science, and political lobbying.

The Wall Street Journal reports "NRDC is by many accounts, the most effective lobbying and litigating group on environmental issues." The Take Action section of their website has many ideas about things you can do to help protect our environment.

Nature Conservancy - The mission of the Nature Conservancy is to preserve the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters needed for life to survive. The Nature Conservancy works through a variety of methods from conservation planning within communities and governments, through cooperative partnerships, and through the purchase of land.

The Nature Conservancy has protected more than 117 million acres of land and 5,000 miles of river around the world.

Sea Shepherd - Sea Shepherd uses direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. Their primary mandate is to assume a law enforcement role as provided by the United Nations World Charter for Nature and they are committed to the eradication of pirate whaling, poaching, shark finning, unlawful habitat destruction, and violations of established laws in the World's oceans. Sea shepherds methods can include radical confrontation such as intercepting poachers, removing illegal nets from the sea, and hunting down and ramming pirate whaling ships.

They also work through boycotts and through documentation and public awareness.
Captain Paul Watson, one of the original founders and directors of Greenpeace, left that organization to found Sea Shepherd in 1977. He is described as “the world's most aggressive, most determined, most active, and most effective defender of wildlife."

Union of Concerned Scientists - The Union of Concerned Scientists is a nonprofit partnership of scientists and citizens combining rigorous scientific analysis, innovative policy development, and effective citizen advocacy to achieve practical environmental solutions.

They work though sound science to secure changes in government policy, corporate practices, and consumer choices that will protect and improve the health of our environment globally, nationally, and in communities throughout the United States. In short, UCS seeks and promotes great change in humanity's stewardship of the earth.

The Worldwatch Institute - The Worldwatch Institute is a leading source of information on the interactions among key environmental, social, and economic trends.
Their work revolves around the transition to an environmentally sustainable and socially just society—and how to achieve it. By providing compelling, accessible, and fact-based analysis of critical global issues, Worldwatch informs people around the world about the complex interactions between people, nature, and economies. Worldwatch focuses on the underlying causes, and practical solutions to the world's problems, in order to inspire people to demand new policies, investment patterns, and lifestyle choices.
